Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Operate radio communication systems for police/fire/EMS units
- Enter and maintain accurate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) records
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Participate in continuous skills development training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid NC driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong multitasking and de-escalation skills
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
