Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to officers and field personnel
- Operate radio equipment and emergency notification systems
- Adhere to NIMS and departmental protocols during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Proficient in multitasking and decision-making under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills (40 WPM minimum)
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
