What You Will Do:
As a Trainee, you will learn to operate state-of-the-art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and communicate effectively under pressure. Your duties will include:
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emergency and non-emergency radio frequencies and telephone lines.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services to appropriate locations.
- Enter and update accurate incident reports and information into CAD systems.
- Maintain constant communication with field units and other emergency agencies.
- Provide critical information to responding officers and citizens during crises.
- Perform administrative duties, including data entry and filing.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driverβs License required with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, polygraph, and medical examination.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills are highly preferred.
