Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software efficiently
- Coordinate resources during critical incidents and provide clear instructions to responders
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Utilize multiple information systems to verify and update caller data
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to all department policies and legal protocols for information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
