Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Coordinate with police, fire, and medical units during critical incidents
- Enter and maintain detailed case information in law enforcement databases
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain situational awareness across multiple concurrent incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn specialized software
- Valid New Mexico driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
