Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with precision and compassion
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (EMS, Fire, Hospitals) during emergencies
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers in crisis situations
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Update and maintain accurate case information in real-time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Valid Florida Driver's License upon hire
- Typing minimum 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Strong multitasking abilities in high-stress environments
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- US citizenship or legal resident status
