Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources via CAD/radio systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC databases for background checks and warrants
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age and US citizen
- Pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts nights/weekends/holidays
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- Basic computer literacy and multitasking ability
