Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using multi-channel radio communication
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Utilize NCIC databases for background checks and warrant verification
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously under pressure
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Exceptional multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong emotional intelligence during high-stress situations
