Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units, fire, and medical services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to field personnel during ongoing operations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies
- Remain calm under extreme pressure during critical incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age (per Colorado POST requirements)
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Type 40+ WPM with high accuracy (verified by typing test)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Valid Colorado driver's license
