Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately document emergency/non-emergency calls via phone/radio

- Maintain detailed call logs and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide critical information to officers and first responders in real-time
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations and prioritize multiple tasks
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental procedures
- Complete mandatory dispatcher certification training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified typing certificate required)
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows operating systems
- Must be available to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid California driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
