Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Enter and maintain accurate incident reports and records
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, EMS)
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and monitoring equipment
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Undergo continuous training for certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during application)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills and strong situational awareness
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Valid Ohio driver's license
