Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and non-emergency dispatch requests with accuracy and speed
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to track officer locations and incident status
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies and critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation per department protocols
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers until emergency services arrive
- Manage radio communications between field units and command staff
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Valid Washington State driver's license at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
