Responsibilities
- Manage emergency and non-emergency phone/radio communications
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precision
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and mapping systems
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Train on Mesa PD-specific protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency with typing skills (40+ WPM)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
