Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Operate radio systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate resources during critical incidents and natural disasters
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Adhere to all departmental policies and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Experience in customer service or high-stress environments
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid driver's license (if applicable to role requirements)
