Responsibilities
- Answer and triage emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain radio communication with officers during field operations
- Enter/update case information in real-time databases
- Coordinate with other emergency agencies (EMS, Fire)
- Perform post-call documentation and quality assurance checks
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and NIMS standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 35 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background/drug screening
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Clear communication (verbal/written) under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, databases)
- Valid NC driver's license at hire
