Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update sensitive information in law enforcement databases
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Operate specialized communication equipment and software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age with U.S. citizenship
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency and multitasking skills
- Clear speaking voice and excellent hearing
