Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD/RAD systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio logs
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other city agencies during emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance in high-stress situations
- Operate radio equipment and computer-aided dispatch systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
