Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, assess situations, and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS resources
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications in CAD systems
- Provide critical life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate seamlessly with multiple agencies (police, fire, EMS) during active incidents
- Remain calm under extreme pressure while managing high-volume call scenarios
- Adhere to strict confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in continuous training to maintain certifications and operational excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Ability to pass extensive background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed minimum 40 WPM with 95% accuracy (will be tested)
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments using multiple software systems
- No felony convictions; clean driving record required
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Citizen of the United States and at least 18 years of age
