Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units and coordinate with EMS/Fire services
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio logs
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Operate multi-channel radio systems during high-pressure situations
- Assist in training new dispatch personnel
- Adhere to NJ state communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid NJ driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Clear speaking voice and strong listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
