Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police units and emergency services via radio/computer systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software and communication equipment
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Hawaii driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Type minimum 40 WPM with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
- Fluent in English; bilingual candidates strongly encouraged
- Must be 18+ years old
