Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units, fire services, and medical responders with precision
- Maintain detailed call logs and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) records
- Provide critical information to field units and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress emergency situations
- Operate radio systems, telephones, and emergency notification software
- Adhere to departmental protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (40+ WPM) and computer proficiency
- Exceptional communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Successfully complete written and oral assessments
