Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed, accuracy, and empathy
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio communication equipment
- Input and retrieve critical data using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical teams during emergencies
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in crisis situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (40+ WPM)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in customer service or crisis handling a plus
- No felony convictions
