Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls, assess situations, and dispatch appropriate police units
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) technology
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, EMS) during multi-agency responses
- Monitor multiple channels simultaneously while maintaining situational awareness
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA/GDPR compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License at time of hire
- Typing speed minimum 40 WPM (tested during application)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Must be U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Calm demeanor under pressure with exceptional communication skills
