Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and professionalism
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services efficiently during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate records of all communications in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide critical information to first responders and public safety partners
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Remain calm and composed during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to all department protocols and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) and computer proficiency
- Exceptional communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- No felony convictions and clean criminal history
- Ability to multitask and prioritize information during emergencies
