Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed records of all communications in compliance with NENA standards
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Monitor radio frequencies and maintain situational awareness
- Perform data entry and system documentation accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of application
- U.S. citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
