Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and urgency
- Operate radio systems to dispatch police units and coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents and communications
- Utilize CAD systems to track unit locations and incident statuses
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and other agencies
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (40+ WPM preferred)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in dynamic environments
- Strong communication skills with clear diction and composure
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- No felony convictions; clean driving record required
