Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police service with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units and resources to incident locations using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and other agencies
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations and critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Complete all required training modules for dispatcher certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer literacy and aptitude for learning technology systems
- U.S. citizenship and valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- No felony convictions
