Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with professionalism and accuracy
- Dispatch police units using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers in crisis
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and multitasking
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights/weekends
- No prior experience necessary - training provided
- Valid California driver's license
