Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and composure
- Dispatch police officers and emergency responders to incident locations
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) technology
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident reports
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with other agencies and first responders
- Adhere to strict protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency
