Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with empathy and urgency
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain precise radio communications during emergencies
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers
- Document incident details with accuracy and discretion
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate emergency alert systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Valid NC driver's license
- Proficiency in multitasking under extreme pressure
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- No felony convictions
