Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police officers and other emergency services with precise location details
- Maintain accurate radio communications during critical incidents
- Enter/update data in CAD systems and NCIC databases
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale incidents
- Document all communications with detailed incident reports
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – training provided
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (test required post-application)
- Clear criminal background and drug-free record
- Proficient with computers and multi-tasking software
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress situations
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
