Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter/update incident data in real-time while multitasking high-pressure situations
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via emergency call protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Document all communications accurately per department standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed ≥40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Fluency in English (Spanish proficiency highly valued)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights/holidays
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
