Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch appropriate police, fire, and EMS units to incidents
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Provide critical instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio communication equipment and related technology
- Adhere to all departmental policies and protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
