Role Overview:
As a Security Screener, you will be responsible for screening passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo in accordance with strict TSA regulations. You will operate state-of-the-art screening equipment and interact with travelers from around the world, ensuring a secure and efficient travel environment.
Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Perform thorough screening of passengers, carry-on items, and cargo using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor screening equipment, identifying prohibited items and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact with travelers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner, providing assistance and resolving inquiries regarding screening procedures.
- Security Enforcement: Identify and respond to potential security threats or violations of regulations immediately.
- Documentation: Complete necessary documentation accurately and maintain a high level of situational awareness at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and credit check.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs and pass a pre-employment medical exam and drug screen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow complex instructions.
