Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Monitor radio communications and prioritize resource allocation
- Operate NCIC/VCIN databases for criminal background checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Experience in customer service or high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office suite)
