Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize incidents for immediate response
- Operate radio dispatch systems for police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain precise records using CAD software and incident documentation protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Monitor surveillance feeds and alarm systems for city-wide security
- Train in NIMS and emergency management protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 45 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish highly valued)
