Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Dispatch appropriate units to incidents using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident documentation in compliance with protocols
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during active situations
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems efficiently
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance emergency response skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license (required upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (test administered)
