Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and urgency
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident reports
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time dispatching and resource allocation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques during high-stress situations
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA/FERPA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age with valid Florida driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Strong multitasking skills and calm demeanor under pressure
