Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Coordinate dispatch of police, fire, and EMS units during emergencies
- Maintain real-time status updates for all field units using CAD/RMS systems
- Provide critical pre-arrival medical instructions via Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols
- Document all communications and incident details in compliance with NIMS standards
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during major incidents
- Operate radio systems and specialized emergency communication equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong situational judgment and decision-making abilities
