Responsibilities
- Learn and operate multi-channel radio systems for police, fire, and medical communications
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Enter and retrieve information from CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during emergency responses
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
