Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems while maintaining situational awareness
- Provide critical pre-arrival medical instructions during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and documentation per department protocols
- Operate radio systems, telephones, and emergency notification equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multi-tasking and stress-management capabilities
