Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls from citizens and first responders
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Provide clear, concise information to field units during dynamic situations
- Participate in continuous training on emergency protocols and communication best practices
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during major incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass thorough background check and drug screening
- Minimum 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization
- Exceptional communication skills with clear articulation
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (35+ WPM preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
