Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Coordinate field units during critical incidents and provide real-time updates
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per department protocols
- Perform multi-tasking in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision
- Train in crisis intervention and emergency medical dispatch protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Clear background check and drug screen
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills with de-escalation abilities
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Valid California driver's license
