Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, gathering critical information and dispatching appropriate personnel
- Operate radio systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software with precision
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Participate in continuous training to master emergency protocols
- Collaborate with officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel seamlessly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in criminal justice preferred)
- Minimum 18 years old with U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
- Proficient in computer systems and quick software learning
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (will be tested during hiring process)
