Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems and radio protocols
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with EMS, fire, and other emergency services
- Provide critical information to responding officers
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 35+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Clear verbal communication in high-stress situations
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, CAD systems)
- No felony convictions (background check required)
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass hearing/vision tests and drug screening
