Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units efficiently during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed records in CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Provide clear instructions to callers during life-threatening situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Utilize radio communication protocols to maintain operational integrity
- Participate in ongoing scenario-based training simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multitasking abilities under high-pressure conditions
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass security clearance
- Experience in customer service or crisis management preferred
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch systems
