Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field personnel
- Enter and update critical information in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide crisis intervention and calm guidance to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and protocol standards
- Complete all training modules within designated timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (tested during hiring)
- Clear criminal background and drug-free
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts with flexible scheduling
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass psychological evaluation and background check
