Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain precise radio communication protocols with field units
- Provide life-saving instructions during medical emergencies
- Document incident details with meticulous accuracy in case records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate specialized emergency communication equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation
- Valid California Driver's License
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Clear English/Spanish bilingual proficiency (preferred)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Pass hearing/vision requirements per POST standards
