Responsibilities
- Monitor and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for the Glendale Police Department.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all radio and telephone communications.
- Coordinate the response of patrol units, detectives, and support personnel to incidents.
- Provide critical information to officers in the field to ensure officer and citizen safety.
- Update and maintain computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Handle high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Excellent typing skills (minimum 35-40 WPM preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Background check and drug screening will be required.
