Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using precise protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Complete all required training modules within 6 months
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Valid Nevada driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified by assessment)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work
